I love this building, its got a great color scheme, it has a shake shingle roof, it has tropical landscaping, its small and intimate, its located on the ocean and finally it is surrounded by other Polynesian Pop Architecture found all across Shelter Island.

ReplyDeleteLove the extra outrigger beams at the bottom of each A-frame and angled "support" beams below them. They give the building not only a sense of motion (which us Googie fans always appreciate) but also the feeling that it's something more than a decorated box. A great building indeed. If I ever build my dream tiki house, I will borrow liberally from this design.
